I feel like the luckiest person in the world! I love being an orthodontist, knowing that each day, I will come to work and be surrounded by the best smiles in the world. I have been practicing orthodontics for over 35 years, and I still feel as excited and passionate about my craft as I did in the very beginning. Our patients are the greatest. It's so much fun getting to know each of our patients. Our patients are all unique, and I feel honored to share in this experience with each of them. Our practice rocks - especially thanks to Dr. Jennings and his guitars - we know how to have fun here, and we enjoy making sure that our patients have fun here too.
Being a great orthodontist begins with a quality education.
Since the moment I knew that I wanted to be an orthodontist, I have been passionate about the work and the industry. I attended the University of Texas Houston Dental School where I received my dental education, and I went on to attend Washington University for my orthodontics residency and certificate. I feel fortunate to have had the opportunity to reach my goal of becoming an orthodontist, and I hope to encourage other young people to always strive for what they want. To be able to come to work each day and do something that I love and believe in is an incredible feeling. Keeping current with advances in orthodontics is not just a requirement; it's a promise to my patients.
Orthodontics is an every-changing industry, and Dr. Jennings and I are dedicated to participating in continuing education as a way to remain up-to-date with the latest advances and technology. I regularly attend continuing education courses and seminars through my memberships with the University of Texas alumni association and the American Association of Orthodontists. I enjoy learning about all of the innovative orthodontic treatments that are developed each year. It's my goal to provide my patients with the most cutting-edge treatment options, and I am only able to do this with continuing education.
No matter where I go, my life is filled with great smiles.
I am originally from Shawnee, Oklahoma, and I have been proud to call Houston my home for over 50 years now. Outside of the practice, I enjoy bicycling, skiing, and riding my three motorcycles. I enjoy visiting my family. I have one brother named Dick and a wonderful niece named Tricia. I have been actively involved in the Houston Rodeo for several years. I enjoy my life to the fullest, and I look forward to sharing in this exciting, new orthodontic adventure with you!
